Claire Ashby is a graphic designer based in Raleigh, NC, who has honed her chops at the Gregg Museum of Art & Design at NC State University since 2000, designing everything from the museum logo to exhibition catalogues.

A Jill of all Trades, for the museum she performed a variety of additional tasks including but not limited to: art handling, preparation and installation; preparation and distribution of press releases; photography of artists and objects for publication and the web; and writing, proofreading and editing of content for wall text, announcements, newsletters and exhibition catalogues.

She was recently praised by an essayist as “a genius and a therapist” for her editorial work, and her last curatorial effort, Sock Monkey Madness and the Red Heel Dream, was one of the most unique and best attended exhibitions in the museum’s recent history.

Now a freelance designer, she is available for weddings and bar mitzvahs (she’s also a hell of a bartender) as well as writing, editing, proofreading, photography, art installation and graphic design of any kind.
